Net volume
Rectangular work uses length × width × depth. Circular columns use π × radius² × height, multiplied by quantity.
A practical concrete volume estimator for slabs, footings, walls and circular columns, with waste allowance, mass estimate and optional material cost.
Enter the finished dimensions, choose a waste allowance and get a ready-mix volume in both cubic metres and cubic yards. The result updates as you type.
Rectangular work uses length × width × depth. Circular columns use π × radius² × height, multiplied by quantity.
The selected contingency is added after geometric volume, so the net quantity and allowance remain separately visible.
The default density is 2400 kg/m³ and remains editable because concrete density varies by mix and aggregate.
Reference conversions. NIST lists 1 cubic yard as 0.764554857984 m³. NRMCA describes normal-weight concrete in the approximate range 2240–2400 kg/m³ (140–150 lb/ft³). This calculator uses 2400 kg/m³ only as an editable default for mass estimation.
Use the calculator for early quantity checks, then bring us the drawings, constraints and delivery brief.
